We have live birds shipping Mon, Tues, Wed this week (depending on weather when we ship)
Yay! Can't wait to see pictures of them!
Question:
How do YOU brood ducklings and goslings? Do you brood them together?
Husband sent me $100- so I'm off to the show!
Nice birthday present!
If you ever find a Cream Light Brown Dutch rooster, I would be very interested!

How long do I need to quarantine my new trio before I take them to the barn?
30 days if they were here

Have fun!

Quote: 4' x 5' stalls filled with pellet bedding. Depends on how many of each hatch and when. Your older gosling is with some ducklings right now, will add the younger one this afternoon. the ducklings follow the gosling all over the stall. If we have 3 or more goslings at once they get their own stall and ducks get their own if we have 6 or more at time. Usually they sell quick enough we do merged stalls.

Yay I got a new camera ( to take pictures of my chickens

) and I love it! It is a crappy overcast foggy morning here and they still came out pretty good!

Sorry to flood with pictures but I am excited!

How long do you keep them in there?

So step one is complete. The Bresse are outside in their own pen completely away from everyone else. I haven't decided if this will be their permanent home or not. I can't free range but this pen is my largest. I believe it's around 12x30. I'm thinking a rooster and maybe 4-5 hens should be enough. Now to get the grass to grow back in their.

I hatched 16..... so I still have 10. I have some coming from Papa brooder too. So if they make it though the rough winter we are having here (already 65 degrees here LOL) I should be ok.
