Someone asked for pictures of my Hatcher.... I am slow but here they are

It was just a plywood box when we got it. We cut the hole for the window and added some tempered glass (came from my rotisserie that we made the turner for the incubator)

Insulated top and bottom and sides. That wire it the probe for the digital thermostat.

If you have questions just ask. My son wired it so I will not be able to help much.

I have a question............ when do you want to visit and build one here???

Billie Sue-so glad you DIDN'T send yours out!
And CelticOaks-there was a REASON why the ducks haven't hatched yet!

Sportsman or Dickey? I can't decide.

Either will make you a very happy eggadict hatchaholic

Okay everyone, I will be putting my first eggs into lockdown tomorrow evening. I read somewhere that putting them in cartons for the hatch helps those chicks with detached air cells. I candled last night--all of my chicks are laying sideways in a ring around the middle of the egg --big end and small end of each egg is fairly clear.

So tell me please oh - experienced - ones....lay them down normally on the soft cabinet liners or put them up in cartons??? I certainly don't want to kill any of them by accident.

Egg cartons.

when I've used cartons it's been at lockdown. I don't really candle until day 18 and remove any clear, quitters or suspect eggs and put each one in the cartons.

I use these to hatch in, they allow the egg to move some. But no chick soccer matches.

I got them off of eBay.
