Yeah, I haven't eaten any either, Bettacreek -- I was too busy trying to get them to hatch! :p I finally called in the expert

so here's hoping later this spring I'll have turkey babies!

We use the chain link dog kennels for all our runs here. I keep an eye on CL for used ones all the time. If you can get the panel type ones they are really easy to add on to and switch around when you need to. We just run a length of chicken wire around the bottom 2 feet of them to keep them from sticking their heads out. All our coops have automatic pop doors on timers so everyone is locked up tight in the coop at night. Otherwise we would put hardware cloth along the bottom instead.

Yes, thanks, you guys. That means more eggs for the rest of us. Yay!!!

It has been way too long! I hope everyone is well! I just got back from a week long class where we crammed 40 hours of learning into 9a-6p classes M-F. Oh joy...

Welcome back, Tim!
Ummm yeah everyone that comes over leaves with a parting gift

. Here have a chicken or 3. I have decided I'm getting rid of all the chickens I really don't need so I can use the pens for other breeds.
So, which ones are you getting rid of?

I've been a lurker/stalker for a while now. I'm just starting to incubate for the first time with some quail in the incubator. I just have the one incubator at this time, however, I was wondering would you guys incubate all the eggs? Like I'd love to swap, however I'd have to plan on receiving the eggs all at the same time when the incubator is freed up. I'm assuming you guys have more than one incubator? Incubator and hatchers? Staggered hatching? I'm just curious. Thanks! Brad
Welcome!
Okay, updating this, now that I have all of my swaps figured out!

Definitely still need:
White showgirls
MF leghorns
Lav marans
Silkied seramas
Muscovies (something other than black/white)
Peafowl eggs
Call ducks
Sebastopol geese
Lav Ameraucanas

I am all good with white bresse, birchen marans, tolbunt polish and paint silkies (unless something happens and eggs don't hatch or something), so I won't need anymore of these

I have 6 MF leghorns coming, 6 lav ameraucanas, 3 peafowl, 4 call ducks and 3? Sebastopols coming, so I definitely want to get some more of those so that I can get decent breeding groups out of them. :D
I have these.

Who has the MF leghorns? I am working on the Aloha project and I could use a few of them.

I do! Mine should be laying anytime-they are 7 months old. I am not swapping right now, but I could do a sideswap or sell some. I have a trio from Cheryl Cohen.
Daphne this is for you....

That is one WIDE Husky! LOVE the eyes! Gorgeous dog!
Thank you Notafarm and Celtic, you have encouraged me.

You husky people, I have 2 female husky mix pups, and they are currently 10 weeks old, and each weighs over 15 pounds! Any idea on what their adult weight might be?

Shadow is adorable!
We haven't eaten any yet. I did get a double yolker on Friday though, so I'll eat that one. The turkeys are my favorite. Biggest, yet gentlest birds we have. My friends and family are always shocked that I can just walk up to them and pick them up for cuddles, lol. The inmates get a kick out of them too.
I miss my Palms, but I have 6 Narragansettes growing up.

Unfortunately around here I've seen the "My crap is gold" syndrome and people try to sell their used stuff at brand new prices. Just easier and better to go buy it new.
