Yay!! Cochin babies!! I can not wait until Kraftyladies gets our box from ideal. I have never bought hatchery chicks, and I am absolutely I am going cull heavily to avoid vulture hocks, but for the price, I couldn't resist!!

OK, I was having to read ALL those posts on the phone.  One stuck in my head.  Someone said they had a Barred Ameraucana?  That too would be an EE.  Sorry.  My 2 cents, those White AMs were EE no DOUBT.

 

That was me. So is it an EE because barred are not accepted colors? I have been working on getting ams from others here, so I guess it's not a big deal anyways, mine will just stay with the mixed flock, lol.

EE or experimental...Lavander is also not an accepted color at this point right?

I don't know. Could be because he has more lavender colored legs than slate too. I thought it was just the dilution of barring and splash combined that diluted his legs out.

Got eggs to the PO yesterday to nankanich and tazcat. Sending bhep and chickenbelle tomorrow and thurs.

DS seemed so much better yesterday and has seemed to relapse a tad today. He's not as bad as he was but still not right. DD is now showing signs of the funk. I'm just concerned because she's not really eating. She breastfeeds a bit and drinks juice but not so much on the solids se usually plows. I know its probably because she's not feeling well. It's just hard to not feel concerned.

I got 40 eggs in the mail today, 13 yesterday. All will be set tonight.

Aw, I am so sorry. I know how hard it is when they are sick and all you can do is worry. Silas, the baby (well, 1.5 yrs old) got thrush this week and a wicked chest cold. We spent the most part of December and November fighting sicknesses and have been blessed with a short break in January... It is hard to sleep well when you have babies that are sick. I got so sleep deprived in December I started taking melatonin to fall asleep, and it also seemed to help with anxiety, due to the kids being sick.
I hope yours start feeling better, now that your son is at school, you unfortunately will be facing these type of illness a lot more
