Someone mentioned toe punching chicks.... would you PLEASE tell me how you get a toe punch between those itty bitty toes?  and What tool would you recommend?  You said it was like $20 for a good one but I don't know what that is   I think for SOME of my breeds I would like to toe punch them so I will ALWAYS know where they came from.

I don't remember who mentioned it, but they have one at Stromberg's. it is 9.95 there so not sure if that is a good one or not...

Well i got my shoveling done, and felt better afterwards. I went to the PO and had 2 boxes of eggs waiting!

I also had a vet reminder that my dogs rabies was coming due which reminded me that the local Family farm and home had a rabies clinic today. $10 each! So I ran over and got that done too.

I use a number of methods for identification, I learned a long time ago to never rely on just one way.
I use toe punch and wing bands together.
If you do try toe punching don't waste your money on one of the cheep toe punches (pic1) get a better one like (pic2).

You got me. What's wrong with them? I don't know tolbunts or polish, just know that I want some, so maybe I should learn about them first, since I'm obviously missing something, LOL!

color pattern is a complex mix of brown, black, and white, and the distinctions between the colors in each feather should be well defined.

OK good, I was hoping it wasn't just me! I was gonna have to go have a talk with mine and tell them they were confused!
I was thinking they looked more towards crele or something. Cute, but not tolbunt
