Thanks for agreeing to try out the new shipping idea Beth. I got 18? eggs in a medium box? there may be more but my brain is still fuzzy. Again if they manage to hurt any I will definitely replace them!
For sure let us know how it works.

Oh and apologies to Beth and Shellie! DH spilled some cherry stain on my carrier

and a few eggs got a tiny ring where some of the stain had absorbed into the wood on a few of the holes. I haven't finished mine

like I should and when the carrier got wet it transferred onto the eggs. It looks sort of like an external bloodring. I'll replace any if it affects them at all.

Sorry COF, I meant to post that in the chat thread. I sent some muscovy eggs to Reesepoultry and she said that most had detached air cells. I packed them the same as yours. Don't know what I did wrong. Maybe theres a sadist working at my P.O.
No worries, I think some routes are just very hard on eggs.

No worries, I am sure they will be ok

its a fun battle, our female LOVES a bath, him not so much. I use a horse lead rope to tie him to a post and bath him just like you would a horse on cross ties in a wash rack lol. The pup is 10 months and pretty easy going on bathing so far.

how often do you bathe them? my guy is outside all the time and I'd be afraid he'd get too cold bathing him in January.

Quote: The girl will come inside and sit in our pool shower so she gets them monthly. The pup has been monthly until he went outside at 6 months old and then we went to every other month. The big boy is about ever 3 months now as he doesnt enjoy them and takes me an hour to do. If we lived where it was ever really cold he wouldnt be bathed until it warmed or we could have him inside until fully dry. Petco and PetsMart are good choices for a winter bath if is a must.
