Yay!! The first day of spring will be my first day so setting eggs this year!! I know many of you have been setting and hatching throughout the winter but I will put my first eggs in on March 20 in the evening! Right now it is snowing and 18 F, so it still seems very far off...........but I know it will be here before we know it!!
Have a great day of swapping!

Good Morning Everyone - Sunny and 36 degrees! Not a heat wave but better than snow and 12 or tornadoes and 70. (Both of which we have had in the past week - Missouri Weather!)
Hope everyone has a blessed day and be safe of Super Bowl Sunday! (remember, it's all about the food

You Too! similar here in KY. Snow last 2 days and looking at the fresh snow from last night...

My son is sending me pictures from his front door. He's at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and the snow is so thick he's snowboarding down the mountain right from his doorway. He says eight more inches to come. He's a happy man! If he can't go fly fishing, he wants to go snowboarding.

Did you all see this story this week?

http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/lo...tates-postal-service-for-unpaid-traffic-fines

Essentially, it says, "the Postal Service enjoys federal immunity from state and local regulation." The company that runs those red light cameras responded with, "". . . if they are able to speed through school zones and endanger children and run red lights, you'd at least think we'd get our mail faster."

Now that is just incredible that USPS employees are above the law.

Has anyone know if BLRW can be feather sexed? I hatched two and I'm hoping to figure out what they are...

Nope, you have to selective breed for feather sexing. Slow feather genes are required, not sure if it is the roo or hen that has to have it to make them feather sexable.

Thank you. I had a feeling it wasn't possible. The chicks are really cute. A lot darker than I thought they would be. Just hoping for pullets.
