Good Morning - For everyone who was helping me yesterday with the incubator - Thanks
It's still fluctuating about a degree so will still need to do fine tuning tonight.
For all of you who told me to LOCK DOWN the eggs - Thanks - Had chicks hatching this morning

If anyone has any idea how to better explain to me how to set the wafers on the Dickey Incubator so that I have no fluctuation, I would appreciate a PM. Posting will be fine also, but I am at work and will be off line most of the day.

Hope everyone has a Fantastic and Blessed Day......
Thanks Bunches
Billie Sue
Good morning and congratulations on chicks! I'm glad you went into lockdown. I had a generally early hatch this time too and so did a friend who set some of my eggs across town in another incubator, so I don't think it was the temp being too high. I've calibrated everything pretty closely including humidity so I'm confident about those being really close to accurate. Funny how when they're ready, they're ready. Yay chicks!!

I hatched out 2 CL/Jaerhon crosses from cjwaldon last Summer/Fall. I have a cockeral and a pullet (cockeral has been crowing since 3 weeks old). My question is, what egg color gene do you think the cockeral will throw (white or blue)? A 50/50 chance? I'm thinking of intergrating them into my Araucana/Ameraucana/EE/OE pen (if my Araucana roo will accept them). It will be a long process, but I was just trying to figure out if it would be worth it. It will interesting to see what she lays.

So I found out my Barthuhners are 6.5 months old. Darn good size for such young birds. Good gracious what is he going to look like at a year.

Question for ya'll. 6 of the eggs that I hatched yesterday were a cross between a Rhode Island White hen and my blue and red EE Roo. It's probably slim, but is a sexlink possible?

I got 4 light chicks and 2 dark chicks. Two super light, with just a couple dark specks, 2 golden chimpunky type, and two dark ones. The one from this cross that I hatched in November was a light chick and it ended up being a roo.
