Actually, I am kind of glad he was the only one you sent, because I get to spoil him completely instead of needing to spoil two goslings together!

Turkeys are not quiet-at least my RPs weren't! They are also very social-we have a bird feeder outside the kitchen window and the hens liked to fly up on top and peer in the window to see what we were doing!

It's no wonder we never get any birds around here (wild birds, that is!)

How is it I haven't even really advertised I have black barthuhners but I had some random person PM me about buying eggs???
 
Morning all! Smallest child was well enough to send to school. First time she's had to ride the bus by herself without her sibs, so we had a bit of a meltdown this morning. I promised her I would walk out (even in the rain) and meet her at the bus this afternoon. The other two are coughing and still feverish. Going to be a long day.

Added pine shavings to the brooder last night, over the paper towels. That was so entertaining. The little ones ran around pecking a nd playing in the shavings. Easily spent an hour just watching them be silly. Very much needed.

I have a solo roo. I had to cull the female that hatched.
