Yes - doberman - Dani... Dani the Dobie... aren't I clever...? and I dont think there is - but I'll have to check when we go back friday. She is getting her ears done thursday... so we are going to visit. She is so cute I can't stand it!

What a day. Started out ok. Planned to work on some plumbing in the remodeled bathroom so we could CONTINUE working. BUT first we stopped at the farm. My automatic egg turner was not working right yesterday even after my son worked on it Sunday. SO I thought I would just turn it myself and disconnect the turner..... not SMART to do that ALONE. I unscrewed the bolt and BOOM.... the trays flipped and eggs were FLYING EVERYWHERE

Ok that might have been a little dramatic. I lost about 12-14 eggs. Mostly they were my eggs. I think the only egg I lost that was shipped was a GNH that got hit by another egg. The mess may never get cleaned up in all the cracks. I am going to put some Sweet PDZ in the corner to soak up any odor and moisture left. Then I might spray with oxine. I am hoping it will just DRY up and not smell.

Anyway.... tomorrow I must fine a gear. One of the gears is plastic (was not meant for an incubator) and this is the SECOND time it has stripped and I don't have a back up.

There were several things going on. The trays needed to be tightened and adjusted, so I did that.... but finally when the gear would not turn with no help I figured it was a stripped gear. I hope I can find a replacement soon. It is now adjusted so that I can just flip the trays by hand till I can get a gear. It is also BALANCED with eggs spread more EVENLY.

A friend of mine got some that hadn't been handled. They unloaded, promptly jumped the fence and were occasionally spotted over the next few months. I think they're a folktale there now!

we had some goats like that. we had them less than a day and they were gone...living off the land somewhere if the coyotes haven't gotten them.

Guess what? My blue ams are OUT of the lav black pen....the only thing thing in there other than blacks and Lavs is one gorgeous splash boy and he is coming out to!
One splash/blue pen,one black/lav pen,one fluffy pen for now. Maybe take the splash out later...and make them a total splash pen...I have the split to fluffy roo,and I think both splash hen are fluffy...one MIGHT not be a split so we need to test that one...but I'm excited now you can all pick and chose which one you want.?so many people want just blue or lav...never the two shall meet!
