Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

Well after reading all this talk of split wing on the SFH, I don't know if I'd want to keep and breed any of these.

I guess when I get my eggs in I'll hatch them and sell them off. I don't want any of that getting into my herd. I try hard to stay away from frizzle and silkie genes also.
I wouldn't count them out unless they were mature adults. Juvies can out grow it.

If anyone is interested in chicks for a good deal from Greenfire, PM me ASAP! Jenny needs to know by 2:30 so they can be shipped today!

There are flaws in every breed. I've got a few BLRW from a reputable breeder with split wing also. They won't be bred of course, but no breed is perfect. Imo, there are far worse traits.. :idunno

x2. I've seen it in many different breeds. Those birds either get culled or sent to a layer flock.

Wow did you get lucky. I mailed out a box of eggs to Donna on Saturday and it said delivery on Monday. She got them today. The last update on them was when they departed the Tampa sorting facility early Sunday morning. She mailed out a box for me on Monday and I got them this morning.

I really think dropping directly at the sort facility helped. The express pickup from the retail counter would have been 6 hrs later and they would have taken an extra day to get there. I think it's a roll of the dice with the postal system though.
