Let her in bed with you!!

She will be happy and you will be warm..... We had to buy a king size bed so we all would fit!!

I was conversing with Babymakes6 about my SFH babies - 6 wks old. I'm trying to figure out if I have males or females. I'm going to post some photos in the SFH thread again, but she suggested that I try posting some over here. So, before I do that, I'm wanting to ask if there is anyone that is willing to take a look if I post a few photos! PS: Babymakes6 says you all on this thread are the best folks on BYC! If y'all joined us over at https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...keeping-thread-ots-welcome/7060#post_10444950 then we'd have double the best folks on BYC! :highfive:

Oh, gosh...I have regretted doing this with our youngest for two years. he is our smallest dog but he wants THE WHOLE BED. rude!!!! sometimes I have to go sleep in the guest bedroom just to have some room!!!

Oh boy the alone at night fun. I raised my pups from birth, which makes it easier. Do you plan on having her sleep in a crate in your room or in another room? I set a crate up in the corner of my bedroom. I would put my pup in the crate with a small treat. He would sometimes whine for a few minutes, but I would completely ignore him. He would quit pretty quickly. If he whined during the night he was let out to go potty but went right back in the crate when we came in. Same concept would work if you leave her in another room, she just might be more persistant about whining because she can't see you.
She'll be sleeping in the kitchen since that's where she will be during the day as well. She's not exactly house broken either. I'm working on that and leash training. At what age do they start holding their pee longer?

Well let me think, I think my pup now went all night at around 4 months old. At 8 weeks he could go about 4 hours, he gained about an hour a week. i will never forget with this litter there was one female who HATED her collar, for 2 weeks anytime a collar was put on her she would though herself down and flop like it was killing her!!

She's just scratching at hers. My husband thinks I'm crazy getting a puppy! he should be thankful it wasn't a kitten.
