They passed a law here that you can't sell animals on the side of the road.... puppies usually. BUT they included chickens in that law.

SERIOUSLY???? That is the silliest law have ever heard of. Sounds like the town council needs to concentrate on more important things.....

Well the auction was interesting,did pretty good for what I had, made hubby happy. Spent some time with my friend Debby, which I don't get to do much of anymore, so was nice. And I am opening up the eyes of my friend who has had chickens for quite some time, but had no idea what all breeds and colors there are out there. I am not an enabler. Nope.

yes it is pretty bad when the cops have to come by to see what you are doing and then laugh when you show them the chickens!

Really Officer we are just selling and exchanging chickens!
What was the funniest is when I went up to pick up my redwood brooder out of the Walmart parking lot. Hardly anyone there do to a very nasty snow and ice storm which made the 34 miles trip very long. Wind blowing, ice, snow, nasty roads. The seller parks WAY in the back and we get out freezing our bums off. He pulls back the tarp in his pickup I look in and then hand him the money. another guy gets out and helps load what looks like to every one else a big box into the back of my s10 blazer. We get a cop come by that said he was watching us and HAD to see what we were doing. "really it's just an incubator" Yes and incubator for chicken eggs, really. Had to get it back out and show him!

He couldn't figure out WHY we would be out in such weather to pick up something like that!!!!
Oh, it was night too under the street light!

Ha ha ha!!! That's how you know you have a chicken addiction.
