Good morning everyone!

Happy birthday TD! I am shocked at how young you are! I had this impression of a 40-50y/o man from reading your posts. Which is to say, you are wise beyond your years, and here's to many more.

For all you on the east coast, I feel your pain on the snow. On the bright side, we seem to be sending our weather your way, and we have been sunny and warmer yesterday and today. A break is on its way!

Good mid morning everyone! Happy birthday! Hope you get to do something fun!

We are just getting home from our doctor follow up from last night. His fever spiked again despite the shots they gave him and Tylenol, so went in to have him checked out. Scared its Friday...and a three day weekend... Because if anything happens it will have to be straight to the ER. Regardless, he seems happy enough, and I'm not feeling to panic stricken so guess ill call it a good day

I appreciate the support this group has given, not only me, but to anyone that has been in turmoil and gotten a cyber hug. For me, and its pretty sad and pathetic, this is really the only place I had to turn to last night... My family doesn't live close, and I haven't made any close friends in this town since we moved here a year ago. So I greatly appreciate you all.

I are spending the afternoon cuddling in bed, watching movies, with my two babies. I am going to ignore all chores that really should be done, and enjoy their company and love them to bits.

I'm just getting caught up after being away yesterday...so sorry you and your son are going through this...hope he feels better soon!!!!!

Glad the little guy is seeing a Dr. it is a shame that you have to worry about making a choice like that when you don't have ins. MAYBE if you have applied for the free healthcare in your state and are waiting for approval it will be retro active to when you applied if you get it. Usually it is that way, but you know they can do what ever they want in that department.

I don't have any input on the Rhodebar roos.... I have never been able to hatch one LOL. I have 7 pullets and thanks to CPL I have 3 new roos for them

My sex link hatches are starting and I am SHOCKED at how many pullets I am hatching. I hatched 3 SLM .... all pullets. My SLEE 2 pullets 1 roo. My cuckoos 5 pullets 1 roo and 7 pullets 3 roos. I hope this continues

Send some of that luck my way! I ended up with 2 Lavender Orp chicks--both cockerels. A few months back, I hatched 6 Coronation Sussex--5 cockerels, 1 pullet.

Well I really just have to laugh...
I went out to check on the chickens before starting a movie, found that over half my quail have escaped.
There's a patch of chicken wire covering where I can place additional feeders, and some how it got ripped off (can you say coon?) so I have spent 1/2 hour walking around the property... Catching a few wandering quail, had my dog with me, until he pounced on one and killed it



Seriously, I'm hiding my bedroom for the rest of the day!!

Sorry, I am sure the answer to my question is written somewhere buy I can't seem to find it, or I am too dense to under stand it.

Can someone please give me a quick review of the wild card swap.

My understanding is: the person who claims on the 25th, 50th or 75th swap of the day (or is it the one offering eggs on those #?) gets a wild card swap that they then gift to someone else. Is that right? Where do the eggs for the wild card swaps come from? Do they come from that same person?

Just got a call from Ideal, they have their assorted rare leghorns available, which they're website says they're out of until April.

And I actually had a bit of money to spend!

Yeah for not white Leghorns! I ordered 8 pullets. They ship on the 20th! Hopefully they lay as well as white leghorns!

We all have 7 swaps to use each week. A Wild card swap adds an extra swap to anyone who has one. It can be used any week. Walli has given each of us an extra swap to give away to anyone we would like to give it to, but it must be given away.
