Please note, I will start filling the Tolbunt Polish swaps since the ladies are laying and my boy is doing his stuff.......quite a bit actually. I will be starting with the smaller orders. CPL can handle the larger ones since she'll have loads of hens laying.

Morning everyone! Watching GMA and seeing all the snow out west. Hope all my BYC buddies are safe and any eggs make it! Storm is headed here, but not with as much force. Looks like another snowy saturday night for us.

FYI about the Legbars I will have this Summer. I will not be using a new line rooster for the new line hens. I'm not sure who has seen the new line roosters but with such big crests, they have floppy combs. I do not like the floppy combs at all and I don't believe the standard calls for floppy combs. BM6 can say more on that. I prefer a straight, tall comb. So, I plan to keep new line hens but will be using a old line rooster with a straight comb. If you claimed new line CCL eggs from me and have an issue with that, PM me please. We'll work something out.

I just don't like those floppy combs. Do you get the newsletter from GFF?? They showed pictures of some lady's champion Legbars over in the UK. Every rooster had those nasty floppy combs. I love my boy's comb but hate his attitude.

so far this boy look ok, but i know he could get floppy with growth. I need to take pictures of him they are in lock down quarantine though for 3 more weeks and i avoid taking my camera into them right now lol

Thank you, I wish I knew. He is the reason I found BYC. I bought him as a "Bantam Americauna" from McMurray Hatcheries. I knew he didn't look anything like the "Americaunas" I had raised for 20 years, so I came here looking for what he was. I found out... he's probably an EE Mutt Bantam - but he sure is beautiful. I will be keeping him and maybe making bantam blue egg laying mutts - hopefully with his coloring! His brother looks similar to a Lemon Blue Splash OEG.. but green legs and rose combed.

I would love some eggs if you decide to do that! Thanks for the info.

The one I have already has a floppy comb and I hate it. I won't be keeping him.
