All I have are partridge brahma, gold laced brahma, buff brahma and bbs ameraucana. However they are being cover by a an EE that does crow but either shoots blank or needs his butt trimmed and possibly a really ugly silkieX cockerel

Any takers?.

WV, I so wish I could trade you for those silkie eggs and would in a heartbeat if I were not on forced hiatus.

I was so bummed that I didn't hatch any last time. I was and still am just learning about hatching, so I don't think it was any fault of the eggs. Yes, save the silkies!

Arrgghhh! I haven't been able to find a breeder of Darks, which is what I want! A friend on our state forum has, and will get me a dozen eggs next month. But I would have taken every one you don't need off your hands. All of them.

On the other hand, I have lots of different colors of Orps coming! Some SQ, most not, but they'll be gorgeous anyway! I'll be concentrating on the Orps, but I want a small variety of breeds anyway. All LF.

Orps, both American and English in several different colors. (Brown eggs)
RC Brown Leghorn...and I'd like to find a good breeder of those too, but haven't. (White eggs)
Amers...BBS (Blue eggs)
Wellies (Terra cotta eggs leaning to speckles)
Barnies ? I'm getting some to try, anyway! (Darker egg?)
Cuckoo/blue cuckoo/golden cuckoo marans (Darker egg)

Dark Brahmas??? (Another brown egg!)

Plus EEs and OEs and any girl that strikes my fancy can live in the eating egg pens! (assorted blues and greens) And quail. (small with splotchy speckling)

My first concentration is eating eggs. I have never been able to provide enough eating eggs to my customers. And I want pretty eggs. But I'd like to be able to sell some good quality birds/eggs/chicks down the road, too. Since we are rebuilding the flock, I've gotten to start over with The Plan. It's been interesting deciding.

I opted not to get bantams again. I can't get Silkies or Polish as we free range. Even when I get my breeding pens, the birds will be rotated through from free range.

There's the bare bones of my plan, anyway! If I lose the Brahmas, I do have the orps for brown eggs. I just wanted Brahmas!

I was about to get them from McMurray but at the last minute found a breeder! I am on a waiting list but hey as long as I get them I'll be happy. The breeder said they weren't perfect they are a work in progress but hey I'm not too picky and besides I wasn't looking for anything other than a pet anyway and I was ready to buy hatchery. When I first got my flock I was concerned with just pretty birds and then pretty eggs. Now that I want to try to breed some I have been trying to find the best I can afford. Now I have my flocks for eating and my flocks for breeding!
Brahmas do lay a creamy brown egg so I hear, but I also hear there is no other chicken like them(although I debate that just with my beautiful Cochins!) they are supposed to be the sweetest birds, super friendly. I love feathered feet so it's almost a requirement that I have one.
You have quite the asortment he, he, sounds like me a list too long to write! I just got some Orps last fall and I can't wait to get more, actually I am this spring he he! I'll be swimming in babies!

Babbling isn't that what this whole website is about? People babbling about their beautiful foul that noone else would understand except for outher "foul" people!! pun sort of intended just cause it sounds funny
