Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

Ducks may lay eggs.....I am not convinced, however, that they like to leave eggs. I have had 6 ducks in lockdown for a week!!! They are all still kicking. I have a sqeaky toy my roommate bought for the dog that I stole it to trick the hatchers into proving viability. They go nuts when I set it off. They just don't sem to have any interest in external pipping or hatching. Apparently it's nice and warm and cozy in there.

I've seen marans spelled numerous ways. I don't mean to sound judemental, but typically, I won't buy from someone who can't spell the breed name properly. When I'm posting here, I'm sure I mess up words, but if I'm doing an advertisement or I'm trying to post something edumacational, I'll look it up in thedictionary if I'm not sure. I used to be a champ at grammar and spelling, but these electronic devices have ruined that, lol. As a kid, I used to read dictionaries and thesarauses (see, I think I spelled that wrong, LOL), for fun. Used to get made fun of for it, but I enjoyed it. Novels end, those things were basically unlimited.

There's a bloke local to us who wants 2dz of my eggs but I almost don't want to sell to him because he constantly spells Moran. No S and an O. I'm a grammar spelling freak.... No offense to those who aren't. He's been told that its incorrect by quite a few and he openly states "who cares. That's hat looks right to me!" I care! You're going to mention to someone that you got them from me!

I know it shouldn't bother me but its like nails on a chalkboard.

So in the latest news!

We've been crazy busy here. Between all things spring and eggs and farming etc. our realtor recently called us and told us it was time to sell the house we've been renting out.

We aren't intentional landlords. It's not our thing. It's especially not our thing since we now live about an hour from our house in Portland.

Well. The house itself isn't too bad but our previous tenants made an attempt at gardening and in doing so KILLED all of my gorgeous borders and gardens including a 50yr laceleaf Acer

So we've been trading and buying landscaping plants and I've been driving back an forth to the city for the last however many days. Its frustrating but we really want to sell the house and not have that in the back of our minds.

We'll be back to somewhat normal life as of next Wed after we've busted the curb appeal out and officially put the house on the market.

Can't wait for it to be over!

Ironic spelling tangent..... I am the single worst speller in the world and my grammar is not much better. It is an interesting combination of dyslexia and disgraphia. I am a college professor and I usually teach Psychology and Sociology. This quarter they have me teaching Foundations of Writing. I have to give my students extra credit for catching my spelling and grammar errors when I dissect sentences on the board with them! A whole lot of extra credit has been awarded in the last 8 weeks. I think they learn the information just so the can "Catch" me. At least it is good humor.
