I wouldn't get a Blue (though they are my favorite). They are a lot lighter and more spry than the heavier heritage breeds. My blue hen likes to roost on my roof if I am not careful.ok so whats the deal with blue in turkeys does it breed true and would he get big enough to stay put (even if it means wing trimming)
Pretty good guess early on for some. Jakes are a little bigger, start strutting and tomming pretty earlier and their feathers are different. I have been mostly accurate at around 3 weeks. Though not definite until the gobbling happens around 4-6 months.oh and how young can you tell genders?
narragansettok so what is a large and interesting heritage?
