I agree. Seems most of the breeds I've gotten lately have something wrong with them. I'm hoping the barnies I jut got are somewhat decent.They need a good lesson in genetics. Does anyone object to changing the goose egg count from 3 to 2?
What I really wish is that GFF would put out what they are doing when it comes to breeding. What they are crossing in and how many pens they have of each breed.
Unfortunately there are some that don't send extras at all so what you get is 3 of each breed.I think the rule changes are good. I am another person who doesn't claim hens choice because I would like the best chances possible to get a pair of a breed. If it were hens choice of just 2 breeds, then I would be more willing to get them since I would have 3+ eggs from each breed to get chicks. Just my opinion.![]()
