I shipped The Spoiled Chickens eggs today from my offer on post #5802.

DC# 9505 5104 4941 3065 5445 63

Hopefully they don't take 9 days to arrive like they did last time I sent her eggs! I talked to the PO today and they said she must live in an area with bad storms so that is the reason it took so long. The snow storm that went through here yesterday is probably that direction now. I hope it doesn't mess up this delivery.

O man not again, lol.

Well even with 9 day shipping I have 2 going into lockdown soon

And hopefully this swap has a better journey than the last one...dang PO

Ok that was fun! It took me over an hour to get my new broody Wyandotte to sit on another nest! She kept kicking my poor broody Cochin out of her nest that she's been on for almost 2 weeks now!! So hopefully I can get her to stay there we will see.

I can't believe it, I think it's kinda funny my dad told me "Oh you'll never get a hen to go broody I had them for 20 yrs and only had one go broody!!"

I have to know, what is that cutie?  By the way, when you get your spangled don't let him loose in your kitchen.  I'm afraid you would never catch him.  After all this time on my carport right outside my back door he is still skittish.  He must have never been handled or outside a cage in his life.

He's a silver duckwing oegb.

I hope you don't mean me

I have been paying off my egg swaps early before Spring. Some people have been getting chicks and juvie birds from me instead of eggs.

Hopefully you are talking about Wayne. I think all the thread admins. including myself have managed to buy all the birds he owed eggs from to help cover his swaps.

I am totally talking about Wayne... I think you guys are amazing for trying to cover his swaps, seriously, you are saints!!

I just see a basket of adorable chicks. Who cares about the breeds? They are all adorable!!!!

I have no idea what those chicks were either, but they were seriously cute!!! What were they anyway??

ok for those stuck with brown and cold and snow

last night launch of the shuttle program ever

the above picture turns into this below

we live roughly 3 miles from the space center gates and the launch pads are due east of our front door so always made for good pictures and some garden and flower pictures

Oh man!! that really makes me miss living in Florida!! Especially after it snowed today!!

Hey everybody! 1 week until I start my trip!! Looks like I am going to be moving ALOT of chickens around this trip! I hope the weather clears up for this trip!! OK could everyone I am meeting send my your phone number and address where I am meeting you. I will call and let you know when I should be to you based off my GPS. I am sleeping in my truck so should get further each day then I originally thought. Please label carriers with BYC name of person receiving. I am worried I will get something mixed up! Here is a pic of my truck, so if we are meeting you can find me!

Older chicks will be in the bed, I will have some room in the cab for youngsters, but I travel with three border collies so space will be limited! I can't wait to meet everyone!
Have fun and drive carefully!!
My hubby is planning on having my new pens finished this weekend, so I can have everyone sorted and in their own home. But in the meantime, I snapped this picture the other day. It is a pic of a golden cuckoo maran roo and a choc orp. Bear in mind that the golden cuckoo is about a month older than the choc orp.

Wow, he's big!! A breeder by me has golden cuckoos, wow they are really pretty.. And kudos to your DH for doing all those pens, how many do you have now???

You should TOTALLY come!!!!! Might get to go home with a shiny new chicken tractor, automatic coop door, a bunch of fancy chicken and or livestock feed, chicks, nest boxes, incubator...... List goes on!

Hmmmm... makes me want to start hinting at DH that we need to take a roadtrip, too and then when we reach Portland I'll casually mention there's a chicken thing I HAVE to go to, lol

I just finished setting 140 eggs and am tired! g'nite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DMRippy eggs arrived today in excellent condition. Got them from the PO directly, eggs were not too cold, were wrapped well, with no cracks or detached egg cells on arrival.
