If they are going to Krafty, sure. She's suppose to be here in May.

Morning everyone !! my bator is full - set 30 eggs this weekend!

also have 7 under my broody that should hatch this week. we'll see how she does.

Moved her to her own pen saturday night and so far so good.

Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

I'm not real happy this morning, actually. I had ordered eggs from someone last fall, for this spring. She emailed me a few days back, double-checking that I still wanted them. I did! So yesterday, she emailed asking for my zip code, so she could get shipping and email me the total to PayPal. Wonderful!

And I just got up to her total...and statement to send the money as personal so she didn't have to pay fees. Sigh. I told her sorry, that was unethical and removed buyer protection, so I was canceling and to go to the next person on her list. I would have liked the eggs, but I don't care to deal with someone who asks that. Bummer. I would have liked those eggs.

In other news, of 8 shipped Barnevelder eggs from Pysankygirl, seven started development, five went to lockdown, and all five hatched! Of eight cuckoo marans sent by DMRippy, again, seven showed development, and all seven went to lockdown. So far I have two little roos! (Sorry about asking for sexing info after it had been asked. I was gone for one day, and had to skip reading so missed them!). I got a full dozen EE/OE eggs from KYTinpusher, and I didn't have time to try to candle them at lockdown. Since none were leaky, they all went in. So far I have six little cuties from them!

I've got to set up another incubator today, because I have Amer eggs from Kraftyladies due for lockdown tomorrow! Lots of chickies!

I think everyone who purchases eggs should send the money just like you would for any other order. I think if your paying a PP Egg Swap thread payment, it should be sent as a gift. There is a large difference between the two things.
The first one, your making an order for something you want delivered in good time b/c your item is time sensitive. You also do not want to order 24 eggs and have only 10 develop. (happened to me recently). You need buyer protection for your order.
The second one, your swapping. Your gifting someone 17.00 paypal as your swap. So you would not need buyer protection as your not getting anything sent to you.
I would have given her the chance to "do the right thing", but to each their own. My Dad was the same way. He refused to deal with anyone who he felt was wrong or unethical. No matter how badly he wanted the item.

Ok sooo I have been cleaning brooders and moving chicks until I can no longer see straight.

I have more hatching and no where to put them.
