Not much you can do.  You shipped it and have proof.  He will have to be patient and hope the PO doesn't do another number on his box.

Thank you. I can't help but feel responsible, but I have already paid more than the eggs are worth, and I dot want him to not get eggs that are broken or don't hatch

There have been others on here that have received smashed eggs and eggs that have taken 6+ days. The PO is not your responsibility. It's the risk you take with shipped egg.

Okay I have to ask for those of you who ship live birds. I just contacted a breeder who I've been in touch with in the past about getting an adult bird or two from him. He said if I want them shipped that it's an extra $50 on top of the $70 he wants to charge for shipping because of the time it takes to label box and bring them to the PO. Is out crazy that I think that's crazy?!?!?!?! I never charge people for the time it takes me to pack eggs or bring them to the PO. MAYBE an extra $1-2 if I'm doing a large order that uses a ton of bubble wrap but $50?

yeah totally over the top crazy high 9but others already said that

You totally CAn feed ducks and all waterfowl chick starter (its been a VERY long time since the medication was one that would cause harm). Waterfowl feed is much better since they need MORE NIACIN not protien. You can add brewers yeast to their feed to make up for this with chick starter. I would NOT brood waterfowl with any other poultry, they like the water too much and I doubt the chicks and turks need the extra niacin added in.

flock raiser (purina) and all flock (nutrena) are both fine too

Sah............if you ship with DC you arent responsible if the PO takes a year to get them there. We all accept the risk of shipping hatching eggs and all need to remember no matter how much we wanted thos eeggs the PO can/may loose them and or damage them

My PO has two people that work the counters. When I told the He that I was expecting chicks, his response was, "so?" When I tell the She, she wants to know what kind, how many, and how early I want a call. I now make a point to always talk to her.
