When breeding Self Blue to Self Blue, only Self Blues result.
When breeding Self Blue to Black, only slates result.
When breeding Slate to Black both slates and blacks result, with no self blues.
When breeding Self Blue to Slate both Slates and Self Blues result, with no blacks.
When breeding Black to Black, just Blacks result.

I guess that light greyish one is Self Blue then (?) and a black one, lol. That was the one riding the rails last night, lol.

Can't wait to see the other 4 hatch out. Plus I think your sending me another swap?

it could be self or slate, will have to wait and see how it feathers out....

CPL - Have you been to the swap in Troy, OH? Is it worth a 2.5 hr. drive. It seems quite interesting, nothing like that up around here.

Troy is a nice swap. I really enjoy it! Rachael and I will be there selling birds-look us up!

Ok, I give up. I have 3 egg packages that are missing, late whatever. Here is one of them. Please remember that I am in Florida. It left Phil, went to harrisburg, now back in Philadelphia??? I have another one that showed that it was in Jacksonville, FL on the 8th. When it hits there, I get it the same day. Still don't have it. I think maybe I am going to quit swapping for awhile, out of 5 boxes, I have received 2 of them.

OMG, I love them!!! And you owe a dozen to me!!!

I have the wierdest crackpots contact me this year for chicks. They seem to think I am open to chicken tours and just want to come see my chickens first. Then the others that tell me they are on the way and I give directions and then they try to talk me into sell 2 chicks and reducing my price really?

Okay, I just had "Black Copper Marans Chicks" listed on CL. I got a call from a guy saying that "black chicks give the best..........." and "thanks for being so accomodating"...........I hung up!!!

Serious winner. I had a guy email me the other day who wanted me to ship chicks too from a contact form on my website. WTH? It says nothing about having purebreeds and a regular source of chicks. Weird.
