I hope it doesn't get that bad.I love the pony express! I just moved back to a smaller town with a shoebox post office that's closed for lunch and closes for good at 4:30. The postal carrier is awesome though, even said, "happy hatching" when she delivered my eggs. Much better than the old one, who missed package pickups on a regular basis and never knocked, just put the box on the porch.![]()
The last of my chicken eggs from here comes in this week. Then I have an order being shipped Saturday, and another I'll be picking up on the 23rd. And then no more chicken eggs for a while. I still get one more order of turkeys from reese, and a whole buncha quail from Sah, but chickens will be done. Wow. No more hatching until my NPIP is done.
I can feel the withdrawal pains already. I'll have to live vicariously through everyone else! And look forward to all my fall claims!
I'm FINALLY having some good news here! I found the printer, then found the power cord yesterday! Yay! So, I have a few packages going out today! I am so excited to get everyone's stuff out finally! I'll also be offering laundry soaps soon, in two different scents (or lack of scent, honeysuckle and unscented).
G woke me up this morning to tell me that there was a bird chirping in the bator! We watched a little midget white kick out of the shell.I have two more pips in there, one from last night and one that was new this morning. My last set of MW's ended in NO poults... same with the last eggs I set from my girls. :/ My turkey is still on strike, but the other girls have started picking up. So, Profti is still waiting on my turkey hen to give up the strike, but I should be able to ship "dino eggs" out soon!
No worries! They mature much faster than chickens do anyway, so should be fine for the testing. I only need to say they are adults. The last of my chicken eggs from here comes in this week. My brats are six week old this week, so I would say in two weeks I should be getting eggs and have some in the Bator to test fertility. No promising, though, since they are spoiled and think they dot have to earn their keep!
Since it only takes 18 days to hatch at 6 weeks to mature, and you aren't getting tested until August?, I still can probably send you the beginning of April, right? You are second on my list, so as soon as they start popping out eggs, and fertility is tested, I should have no problems getting them to you.
