Okay, all you wise turkey peeps - I got my hatchery surprise this morning and I'm trying to ID the 7 turkeys they sent. I assume they're white and bronze, but the hatchery also offers royal palms and narragansett turkeys - and the poults in the catalog look the same for the breeds. Is there a magic way to tell them apart?

Okay, all you wise turkey peeps - I got my hatchery surprise this morning and I'm trying to ID the 7 turkeys they sent. I assume they're white and bronze, but the hatchery also offers royal palms and narragansett turkeys - and the poults in the catalog look the same for the breeds. Is there a magic way to tell them apart?

as palms start growing wing feathers, there will be black in them, Narries, look like the bronze, but their feather tips/barring will be white/gray and not a brown color...post some pics

See...when I first opened the box... well the only logical thought was "Crazy Old Bantam". I did ask for a Hens choice I think. I cannot even remember. Then.... It dawned on me. I rushed over to look at your birds and instantly felt like I had won the lottery!
