lol i know everyone likes my orps, i just dont have current egg laying capabilities like madam yet. Maybe once they move into their own hacienda they will like it better and it will speed things along. Even though the orps aarent even 5 months yet. But the rhodebars, GCM and SFH, and a cpl of the Isbars are....
anyone know what may be going on? I have routinely for the past month had hatches run 2-3 days beyond schedule. Nothing at all on day 21 and everything on day 22-23 well... sometimes even on day 24. I have 2 gqf thermometers in the incubators and they are always right on correct temp. Its slightly frustrating. I have taken both incubators and cleaned them top to bottom with oxine and make sure I always have the perfect humidity. Any suggestions? Is it because I live in East TN?or am I crazy?![]()
If you haven't done it yet do it. They just suddenly go wild. I have 4 I use regularly that were fine in November... calibrated yesterday.. all wrong. Boy that was fun, ha!I hadn't but I just got new ones from gqf and they all read the same I use sportsman incubators- one dedicated to incubating, one dedicated to hatching
My hatch was late and drawn out with this power outage and the last few chicks are just not as perfect as the first ones...slightly splayed, not as energetic. now I know they are younger and waiting to see but it is hard not to compare them to their siblings that are zooming around and in perfect control of themselves already and already sprouting wingfeathers. is that normal with late hatching?anyone know what may be going on?
