I just left the post office after picking up some eggs. Sometimes, they do a really great job and I feel like after all the complaining... I should pay them a compliment.
These are salmon Faverolle eggs from Oregon. She shipped them Wednesday afternoon EST, so I really thought I wouldn't get them until Monday.
I got them today with a special label on them the PO put on in Gainesville. My eggs always come from Jacksonville, except for my last, which came from Orlando. Jacksonville usually means two day shipping. Orlando equalled three. As far as I am concerned, these eggs from OR only took 1.5 days
It was nice to see that they put special effort to mark my box, even if it was almost here already.

Wow!!! That was REALLY nice of them!!!
It's the first I have seen anything like it too. I was just browsing this morning drinking my coffee and they just put it on and I was on the phone. Hubby is all for it cause now he can take the containers I used for the chicks and put his junk in them and don't have to hear me bugging him about building me some.
yeah my hen was my brooder and the only way I found out I had mites was because of this chick. But my other broody is on 2 eggs so I will take them away soon and I will treat the whole flock for the mites. Maybe next time my beautiful DB will end up with a baby chick. Thank you for the ideas I will try them. My whole flock is all over 26 weeks but I did just get a 3 month old so I might separate her and get her mite free she is so beautiful and the sweetest thing ever I would be so upset if I lost her.
Oh my god, how does that even happen?Caj1985... The eggs you sent were lost for awhile. Well, they just showed up IN TEXAS!!! I'm in Michigan. Why would eggs go from Arkansas to TEXAS before coming to Michigan?![]()
