we are working that out too.

Puglady, yours will be soon next week maybe and Justhatchin's Mealworms, might can sort them tomorrow or Wednesday. The BLRW and Blue Barred Rocks are still not laying well enough or fertile to ship. The BBR are picking up and I am checking fertility every week.

So I gave up on the eggs that are three days overdue. I candled again and while I can see that they did develop some it looks like they didn't really make it to lockdown as far as development. I also candled all the eggs in the bator right now. There is definite veining!! On some. Others I can't tell, but I will leave them. Out of 24 eggs in there right now, half at a week and half are at ten days, I could see definite veining in eight. One of the houdans had a wiggler! First time I saw that. I am decommissioning Spike as the new bator has arrived. Marans eggs go in tomorrow. As far as I can tell, they made it without even a loose air cell! That's amazing in my book. Time for bed now. I have a sick teenager, a sick todler, and lost my voice...I need some rest.

Ok.

First I wrapped a piece of string around my choice to hold the food and water (yoghurt containers) twice. I then made it longer by guessing how long I would need to bend for the holder. These are for putting on the door of a cat carrier, and I bent the holder part while attached to the door to make sure it would fit.

I found the center and bent it in half and made that little bump in the middle to hold the cup from coming out. The first one I made when I put it in it popped right back out, so I had to re-design a bit. Then I shaped the wire around a spray paint can for the small one, and a slightly larger can for the large one. I had to allow the wire to spring out a bit to make the bigger one. I then wrapped the wire around itself a bit to make it snug.

Once the wires were to the back again I bent them straight out, put them through the door and bent them down. I then pulled the holder up as far as it would go and made a mark - took the holder back out and bent above that mark to go back inside the cage - put everything back on the door, bent it down again and cut it so it would just hook over the bottom wire to hold it steady. For yours you can probably just put them both going up from the sides and through that hole.

I wanted to be able to remove mine from the door and to remove the containers as well.

Here are mine:

For those who don't know what this is, this is my second largest tarantula molting his old clothes and putting on some new ones. I got to watch the whole process and yes, I also found out it's a boy!!!!

That is one set of totally cool pictures!!!

X2.

I love tarantulas. I've only had one, a pink toe my son gave me for Mother's Day when he was eight.

Good Morning, Happy Chicken People! Hope you have a great day!

G'morning all!!! I get to kick more chicks out of the house today. And hopefully before the weekend is over the only ones left in the house will be the serama chicks.

At that point, Spring cleaning will be in full force next week.

Good morning, madamwlf! I'm jealous -- it's still too cold here and my babies too little for me to toss everyone out yet, but oh! The dust!!! Looking forward to a very thorough cleaning once everyone's moved out to the barn!
