I'm about to set my first goose eggs for incubating any tips as far as temp and humidity???
Temp and humidity is no different than duck and chicken for incubation. (we keep ours at 25-35% on average

Lockdown should be goaled at 70%.

Goose eggs should ALWAYS be on their sides for the entire time (incubation and lockdown)

Hand turned 3-5 times a day if laying still, hand turned once a day if laying in an auto turner

day 7 forward you need to start cooling and misting them

be sure weigh them before you set them, trace the air cells and weigh during incubation to make sure they are loosing proper weight

they take FOREVER to hatch once it starts (just about the full 3 days)

I have a question for the mods....I have a pair of Bantam Black Sumatras, and a pair of Blue Brassy Backs, they lay every other day...can I offer them if the other person agrees to get them in two shipments? As in 2 sumatra and 2 brassy back and then again when I get the rest? Or does everyone think that would be a PITA?
i wouldnt offer them like that because hatch rates and shipping cost. Just wait till you can offer them together.

She didn't cover them at all and they got cold. One was a beautiful little chocolate too. I'm hoping this is just first time mom error.
first time moms can make all sorts of bad choices. be glad she didnt eat them

I have found that if we have a girl due and its cool or cold out if we move her inside a building she has a better chance at getting the litter started

So sorry! As others have said, first timers often do a poor job. Give her another chance at it. I give mine three chances to settle down. After three times blowing it, they either get sold as pets or become dinner.

Oh nooo..... So sorry that is horrible. I am sure it is a first time mom thing. I had my manx cat not feed her babie kittens as a first time mom. By the time I realized and tried to feed them myself it was too late. Lost 4 pretty little kitties. But the 2nd time around she was a great mom. Just takes practice I guess.

A LONG TIME!  My first pile of compost is now ready for the garden.  I have 6 more NOT ready.  Hubby turns them some but not often.  My piles are JUST wood shavings and chicken poop.

You use a CAR for that?

Lol. It's a baja. So it's the size of a car and everything, but instead of a trunk, it has a truck bed. ;) I'm too lazy to carry each shovelful to the end of the property to the compost site. G wants me to get a wheel barrow, I want a 4 wheeler with a wagon! Lol! For now, it goes in the car bed. How long has your first pile been sitting there? :/
