Finally got a few minutes to catch up.... WOW y'all were busy on the Easter Swap tonight 861 posts

I am not even going to look. Hope everyone had fun and got lots of good good stuff.

We have been THAWING our fridge out. It seems the frost free freezer FROZE up and we didn't have anything cold in the fridge. I hope that was really the fix. It is like 40 years old LOL... well maybe 20+. I can't drink warm milk

We had someone come out this morning and take away about 30+ little roos (sex links mostly) That is surely going to help with the feed bill.

He gave me his business card and said call him when I have more

He even paid me

Since they left I felt the need to FILL the brooders again so I set another 180 eggs today

(some are sex links so they will go pretty soon after hatch

)

I watch those backward swaps for a bit, but they are always way too rich for my blood. Although there were a couple things I wish I had had something to offer besides pp. Oh, well. I will watch from afar, I reckon!

Had a great show yesterday Had grand champion LF with a salmon Faverolle pullet. and grand Champion Bantam with a Modern game pullet. and reserve bantam with a white silkie hen. Reserve champion LF with a black cochin hen. Champion RCCL bantam with a BBR d' anver pullet. and champion OEGB with a crele cockerel. So my family and I had a great show.

And in the serama table top show I had Champion Frizzle with superman the cock on my aveater. Champion hen. and Champion cockerel.
My son in the youth show Had Champion Hen and champion cockerel and won overall reserve grand champion with the hen

The swap last night was great fun and apparently exhausting...as soon as it was done I set the laptop on the table, sat back on the couch and just woke up! lol!

I'm bummed. We're putting down our old tom turkey today, Bob. He would have been eight years old next month. He's been having leg problems this winter, which actually appears to be gout, but this morning he was on his back. Righting him was temporary. Poor old guy. We're gonna miss him.
