I see each and every egg and candle whenever I want, but I don't have to hand turn 180 eggs three times per day. A tabletop might not be bad, but 180 eggs? No thanks! Lol.

I don't turn every egg 3 times a day. I have plastic flats that hold 30 eggs. I only turn once maybe twice a day. I have boards cut the length of my flats that I turn my eggs with. I rotate the boards from side to side.

I saw this post on craigslist and I am wondering if it is a good deal. Custom made incubator the wood is birch with a pecan stain. He said he can make me one with a digital thermostat for $265. I was wondering if it would be a good deal.

I still think you could do better. Have you checked out the person COF got hers from? My problem is backyard chickens is becoming popular with people now and others are trying to cash in on it. To me, that incubator looks a bit cheap.

If you go with the "hatcher" style, make sure that you have enough room between them to use the board method of turning. I still think an autoturner beats the sin out of hand turning anything though, lol.

I think they must be xraying a lot more of the boxes because when I started getting swaps in I would get 10 to 70% hatches.  I am averaging getting 1 or 2 chicks to hatch out of 18 eggs now. 

Does anyone have a way to contact Birdnbeast?  I have the Salmon Favs to ship to her from the NYD fun, and I haven't seen her on in a LONG time.  I'll send a PM but if she isn't logging in it won't do any good.
