Just got big fat goose eggs from reesepoultry! All are in excellent shape - well, the air cell in one is a bit wonky, but I think it'll be okay.
I've never tried to hatch goslings before, so this will be an adventure...

We're in the same exact boat! I have my first goose eggs ever, set yesterday, and some are from Michelle too! We can be goosey hatching buddies!

Betta your lucky. Good guys are rare. Puglady at least he does that much. My son and I shovel because my hubby can't be bothered with things like extension cord removal. He does help with building on occasion though, and takes no crap from a rooster. He tries and that's what's important unless of course it costs a life. Then he's in deep horse poo.

So another bad thing this evening. We caught another possum attacking a chicken. I don't know if this girl will survive. Pics are graphic.

I have washed it a little and removed some shredded skin.

she seems to have goop every where.

on further inspection I've discovered where all the goo was coming from. Her crop has a small hole in it. It's big enough to put my finger in.

I super glued her crop. Dosed her in topical, can't give an injection unless she can eat which she won't be doing for a while. She's bandaged and vet wrapped. I have her resting in a dark crate in the house to keep her warm and will monitor. No food for 24 hours, but small amounts of water. Poor girl. Man I'm not liking predators lately.

Been a bad day. I'm taking a hot bath.

All I can say is :hugs and "seasoned" meatballs

Someone help with drunk math? My shed is 10'x10'. My last caging system was 109" long and was a perfect fit. This round, I compromised and made the second set 108", since G said fitting it was too much of a pain. Maybe I shouldn't have had a second glass of wine, but this isn't adding up... first of all, 10ft should be 120", right? Even if you account for 2" on each side for bracing and an extra 2" for the sliding door, 1" for the spacing between the door and the cage, I should've had more spacing, right? But I only have exactly that one inch. Second problem... I bought 3 15' sections for the top and sides for both sets. My first set, I took 24" off of each 15' section to make a divider and an extra 24" off another to make the end wall. For some reason, I have three 22" pieces from the last batch. This batch I haven't done the dividers yet, but I counted and I have more than enough on one roll to do three 24" pieces... what the heck?!

Is the 10x10 inside or outside. If outside you have to take off for your walls too
