Jenny from GFF just told me that the lightly feathered "mystery" chick was probably my third Augsburger. So out of 3... one made it so far. Dang it!

Hi All!!!

So many of you have asked for an update on the chick debacle.  Honestly, I was trying avoid it.  It is a terrible ending.  The "nice" and totally irresponsible  people at the airport who gave my chicks water after they had been bumped for 8 flights, put the water cup too high up in the box so the chicks could not drink it.  They did not remove the water before the flight, so the birds were flown with a full container of water, none of which they were able to actually drink.  About 70 birds arrived in MN in 28 degree weather soaking wet.  I lost 16 of Reese's birds.  All of COF chicks that did arrive arrived alive.  They problem is 17 chicks were just missing.  Gone, no corpses.  Like I wouldn't notice that I received half the chicks that were sent.  My assumption is that they died in TN and someone tossed them because they didn't want to liable. 

Ugh. I'm sorry! They might've removed deads to try to keep the others safe? I know if I were in that position, I'd want to remove the deads and write a report for the buyer.
