So far this thread is seriously depressing with all the dead, missing and stolen birds. It makes me hope that I don't get my replacements anytime soon through the USPS.

Psyankigirl - I am glad you have found a resolution you and your chickens can live with. It is really hard when plans get derailed because of things outside of your control. You can still use their eggs for Pysanki, right? Can you use Oxine in the water for their congestion? I too hope for a cure for this, because it sounds like it is much more prevalent than we know - and so many other people could have it and just not know. If they don't even bother to treat the lesser cases - and if it doesn't show unless the birds get stressed... I could have it in my flock - anybody could have it - and unless they show symptoms we would never know. I think this needs to be added into the tests for NPIP, its not fatal but it is serious enough to affect the health of millions of birds.

Thanks. yes I can definitely use them for Pysanki and for eating. MG cant be transferred to humans which is why NPIP doesn't care about it. but I wish they would. I have some Oxine and will be cleaning my eggs with it, though. just to make sure.

Ok, I thought turning 40 would really suck, but it has been an OK day. Thanks to everyone on here for the bday wishes.
Everyone already knew I disliked the USPS, but today definitely topped it, and not for me but for everyone else. My goodie box is still missing from Profti, but I am thinking it went with the missing birds. Maybe they opened it and helped themselves.
My Dad found me some 55 gallon barrels for waterers really cheap, but they were gone and had held chemicals anyway. They had 60 gallon ones for a little more that were food grade, so got some.... I am on my way to automatic waterers!! Hubby has gotten my garden ready for me to plant tomorrow. He bought me thus huge stuffed rooster from TSC that crows, the dogs love it and so do I. He also made reservations tomorrow night for dinner.
Oh, and I am selling my ducks because he told me I could buy some SQ ducks from Holderreads!! They might be able to squeeze my order in this year, but if not she said I would be first in line next year.

you are a youngster! I passed 40 4 years ago and haven't looked back! I also didn't find 40 to be bad. my worst year was 29. I realized I only had one more year to be "young" LOL 30 was a piece of cake and almost a relief!

I really hate being sick. I've been down for 2 days now. 2 days wasted with nothing done and I don't see much getting done this weekend either since I still can't eat. Totally stinks.

I hope you feel better soon, I have been sick this week too and being sick really makes you appreciate feeling better.

If I ship them I am condeming them to there deaths and I won't do that. That is all this person wants is them to die. They won't meet me in the middle Frankly I am done with this person and I am going around them and Pp and going straight to my bank. I have always replaced my birds and eggs even if I state that I won't. There has only been a few times that I haven't. But, I have always made right on my eggs and birds. The only thing I was asking was for the seller to make right on there deal. Problem is I didn't want more birds to have the same problem. I would rather have a partial refund. I am supposed to pay to ship them back. Not fair and it would be them loosing there lifes over it.

You need to call paypal and talk to someone directly. A lot is lost in just typing words and sometimes when you explain to Paypal verbally the lightbulb goes off in their heads and they finally see the light.

We are going to (hopefully) finish our new coop today! (I am trying to be excited about it). it will be great to get the older chicks we have in the house out. They are starting to really NEED to be outside (pooping machines)

it is going to be a gorgeous day! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!

And I gave the eggs CPL and BM6 sent via Herducks' chicken train to 4 broodies to hatch and they should start hatching today!

I would feel bad letting you do that! But it was a sweet gesture! Who is my Easter bunny any how? Is it the one I sent a box to?

I will look for your bunny. I know that several bunnies were delayed due to crisises, but I will check and get back to you. It is not the one you sent the box too. Did everyone send their boxes? I did not get all the confirmation numbers, but I guess I just assumed that everyone was good to their word. I will track it down. A lot of boxes are missing all over as well. I am so sorry about that.....
