We almost went LB, but went dark instead. This morning someone in that pen made the most god awful noise. Me thinks I have at least one roo in the bunch. Guess I better take a look and see who the noise violator is.

Thanks flocksalot, I try and avoid the dark colored chickens (which is why we sold the BCM flock) Florida summers and sun on those black feathers seems like cruel punishment

Oh I totally understand that! We worry so much about our Dark Cornish over the height of summer. Thankfully they have tons of shade and waterers all over the place. You should ship some of that warm weather north. We could use it! Brrrr it seems like a comfort food kinda day. Well back to cleaning brooders.

Ok, so I need just ONE quail tray for my Sportsman. They only seem to sell them in sets of six. Anyone know where I can get just one?

I see you already got one, but if you are not chick full in the incubator, you can just stick them in chicken egg holders, it works fine.
