X2000! I originally got them for the kid, but find them to be so pretty I want them all over the lawn/farm. I did finally relent and let the kiddo call the two Phyllis Diller looking hens Thing1 and Thing2. It's been raining here a lot and their crests are a mess, but wouldn't you know it they look just like their new names!Be careful! SFH are addictive! They come in so many pretty colors and you never know what color is going to hatch. Two chicks that look the same at hatch can end up feathering out quite differently. I have decided I need to collect all the colors.
I have the reds, blacks, and splash that are laying now, and blues, chocolate and mille fleur in the younger birds. I have 12 in the main flock now, 6 ready to be added shortly, and a few more in the brooder. And I am getting eggs from at least 2 other breeders shortly. I am hooked! They are very friendly birds and excellent foragers. Mine are outside foraging everyday, regardless of the weather, so they eat much less than my birds that don't get out.![]()
Perfect!!! Thanks for marking the box! They are safely tucked in for setting. I am making a fresh batch of Khalua, ya'll cleared me out. I should put you on the waiting list!Did the eggs I sent make it to you intact?![]()
I love my boy's crow and absolutely love them! He is the only rooster I don't have a problem with.
Sorry... Who is Amanda Bennett?

I just had a hen do that today! Was a bit freaked out.And my hens are so lovely! They're very submissive but not in a frightened way. They literally walk up to me and if I put my hand up they squat with wings out! They're wonderful!
