Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

So tonight was an interesting night.

1. We had a prowler
2. Something terrible happened at the boat dock close to our back pasture.
3. Someone stole our credit card info and has been running across Miami FL on a spending spree.
4. DH seems to have male PMS.......

1. Never did find him....... same guy (we think) who has been poaching on our property.

2. A young man commited suicide tonight. I do not know why, just know that it is very sad.

3. Bank called DH. Would not talk to me. I went and looked at his account. Almost had a stroke. So DH gets home and calls them back. It is the securities and fraud division. They ask him has he been to all these stores. DH rattles off No after No. Then the guy asked him had he been to FL today..... lawl.
They shut off our cards. This is something that has not happened to us before.

Oh and I have some Toppy Grey eggs if someone wants some. They can go out tomorrow.

My secret Easter box chicks hatched today! 4/4 Marraduna Basque (EO) 2/4 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte (maybe 3/4 if the peeping egg goes on to hatch). Had one blood ring. All fertile and darn near all hatched, thanks Mzstre!

Not bad at all for shipped eggs!

Also have a chix mix of other newer hatchlings, 3 turkeys (2 blue slate, 1 royal palm of 4 shipped eggs - thanks KrazyKat!), 2 Seramas (ReesePoultry), and some cute Silkies and Iowa Blues from my flock.

Our little bat is back. About 5 years ago we put a bat house in. The first year we got nothing. In the second year a bat moved in. Just one little bat. He's been there ever since. He leaves in late fall to migrate and comes back every Spring.

We have one that live in the shop with the chickens.... well mostly in my hubby's part of the shop. Don't mind him at all. He sleeps ALL DAY long..... hehe

G is limiting me to the back yard. We have 4.5 acres, but 3/4ths is the front yard! I just wish I could get something other than poultry... I want red meat. Can't wait to see pics!

Ok....here is my suspect hen Hershy: Serama or Orlandsk?? ETA: She is about 10 weeks, she is sitting on my knee for size comparison. She was chocolate brown when she hatched....hence the name.

Hershy doesn't look like any of my ODs, but being a landrace, they can be quite variable. The head shape just looks a little different. Here are a couple pics I just took of 2 of my pullets. The first is 3.5 wks old and the 2nd is 7 wks old. ETA: some of my chicks hatch out shades of brown with a chipmunk stripe, some hatch out shades of yellow with a slightly darker yellow to very dark brown spots on their heads, and some hatch with shades of brown yellow and grey and no spot or stripe. It's bizarre, but they all seem to feather out very similarly. I also think Hershy is a boy.
