Oh, wow...all weird. hope everything gets back to normal...and you need a big dog named fang...I am not comfortable with you having a prowler. So tonight was an interesting night.
- We had a prowler
- Something terrible happened at the boat dock close to our back pasture.
- Someone stole our credit card info and has been running across Miami FL on a spending spree.
- DH seems to have male PMS.......
1. Never did find him....... same guy (we think) who has been poaching on our property.
2. A young man commited suicide tonight. I do not know why, just know that it is very sad.
3. Bank called DH. Would not talk to me. I went and looked at his account. Almost had a stroke. So DH gets home and calls them back. It is the securities and fraud division. They ask him has he been to all these stores. DH rattles off No after No. Then the guy asked him had he been to FL today..... lawl.
They shut off our cards. This is something that has not happened to us before.
Oh and I have some Toppy Grey eggs if someone wants some. They can go out tomorrow.
Survival is good! that's what I am going for, too!G'morning peeps!! Thank goodness it is Friday!!!!! Anyone got plans for the weekend? I'm hoping to survive it considering the amount of work that still needs to be done.![]()
Excellent! so glad your heart is healing a little. dang raccoons. fight back! they don't deserve to win!!!!!Update. I'm finally starting to feel a little bit better and will be investing in some new welded wire to fill in the gaps where the raccoons came in. I think the thing that really made me feel better was yesterday I had 5/6 Light Sussex hatch from Greeneacre and this morning, I woke up to 7 Crested Cream Legbar already hatched, 1 more CCL pipped and 2 more pipped eggs from what I think are Rhodebar eggs all from CPL and BM6. I'm going to brood these guys inside until I can secure the pens a little bit better since I DO NOT want a repeat of what happened with the raccoons.
wow...good plans. I need to make a list, too. get myself organized like that...Plans for the weekend?
Butcher rabbits.
Paint new small coop.
Clean calf area and lay down new bedding.
Count chicks!
Move quarantine birds to new pen.
Clean the house?
Make three exams in three versions each.

Try to go to the auction.
Bake something to take to the auction.
Knit group meeting.
Catch up on sleep? Not happening!
That is wonderful!!!! so glad you are starting to get hopeful again!Okay. I just wanted to share a story with you all. As many of you know, I had a fiasco with some raccoons. I had basically given up hope and was at my wits end, but was surprised yesterday and this morning with some beautiful chicks. Here is the part that really warmed my heart. When I got my Crested Cream Legbar eggs from CPL, one had a very strange air sac. In fact, it looked like this picture:
The air sac was on the side of the egg instead of the top. I set the egg and figured it was hopeless. I left it alone, though, with the rare chance that it would make it. When I candled the eggs right before lockdown, the air sac was still on the side of the egg. There were 9 CCL eggs total. When I woke up, there were 7 CCL chicks in the hatcher and 1 egg pipped. That last crazy air cell egg wasn't pipped yet and I figured it was useless to even hope for anything. Well, about 15 minutes ago, a small pip formed in the egg and literally a few seconds ago, a perfectly beautiful little chick emerged. In fact, it was so eager to get out that it even beat the other egg that was already pipped in getting out! That one is still trying to figure out how to get out of the egg.
I love how God steps in and gives us some hope even in the darkest times.
