G'morning peeps!! Who forgot to pay the heating bill??? Brrr....it's cold outside. I so hope my panels come in today so I can finish the White Bresse pen. Got to ship some birds today. Yeah. Then I can look over what I have left.

Okay. Hatch after hatch of chicks developing but not pipping. Now, I just had a 100% hatch of my own turkey poults. Sixteen of them, all perfect. These were hatched in the hatcher tray of the cabinet. All the rest, with the exception of the button quail, were hatched in the hovabator. When I get back from Georgia, I'll need to check that Hovabator out, first thing. That doesn't explain my quail, but it's the best link to the rest of them. The chicks that hatched a couple days ago were also in the cabinet, because the Hovabator was occupied.

Sixteen lovely turkeys. And I just moved 14 more eggs to the hatcher tray. And then a dozen more to follow...and I'll be out of eggs. For now.

Good Morning guys!

Was a wild weekend here.
Oldest DD's friend came over on Fridays night. Sent my other two kids to friends houses. We went to town and did our weekly shopping. As soon as we got back home DD's friends Mom called, their dog was at the vet and they were having him put to sleep (16 yr old Basset, Heart issues and liver/kidney shutdown), so back to town we sped. While she was at the vet's we stopped in Petsmart. I really know better then to go in there to just look.... We found a cat who was on her last days at the Humane Edu. Society. She was turned over b/c of her age... which was only 4yrs old. We adopted her. Manx/rag doll mix. No tail, long hair, very sweet and quiet cat. Zero reaction to birds. I think the guy thought I was nuts when I asked to take her over to the bird windows. She is fixed and declawed. A little on the tubby side, but I find it rather cute on her.
We left there after Lelee (DD's friend) was ready. Headed back home to start working on the rest of the chicken houses. Found out we were short 3 sheets of Tin and one box of staples....
Sunday we head back to town and picked up the stuff we were short on. The cashier was a bit of a pain. So we got a bit upset at her rudeness and then did not figure out that she did not charge us for 2 sheets of tin roofing until we were almost home. She also did not charge us for one of the boxes of staples. We did not go back, watch, karma will get me for that... lol
We spent the rest of Sunday updating pens, and putting new roof on ones that needed it. I feel like a Mack truck has plowed me over.
The last of the charges from our card being stolen should run through my bank today. I will feel so much better when that is taken care of and back under control.

Anyway, long weekend. Hope everyone elses went great.

Oh, Lowes has all their veggie, fruit, herb, and flower bulbs on 50% off.

Woke up to hubby making pancakes, sausages and bacon with sliced watermelon on the side. I'm so spoiled this morning!

Morning all

we are flooded

it rained, poured buckets actually, all night. Our goat pen in an ankle deep mud pit, the back pasture we had just gotten dry enough to seed is under water, the front where the LLO and Ancona go during the day is half under water. The Bresse looked at me like I was nuts for thinking they should be on the ground in a new pen after last nights rains. This morning I feel like we went 2 steps forward this weekend and over night fell 10 back.
