Anyone who wants any of these (except the Buff Brahma;s they are mine lol) I am willing to help Krafty out and ship them from here on Monday since she is coming for a visit this weekend. I have plenty of holding kennels in the garage for them all for a couple nights stay to ship and plenty of boxes ready to use.

We became Ridge Farm because the farm is on the top of a ridge. Real original, I know, but it's always been refered locally as the ridge farm so we just make if official.

you all sound like me!

Our farm is Chestnut Ridge Farm as we are on Chestnut Level Rd and everyone refers to it as Chestnut Ridge. We live on the very top and can see for a long way. When they have fireworks in town 13 miles away we can see the ones they shoot up in the sky from our back porch!

We became Stoney creek because there's a creek in the middle of the property and it's full of rock!

Hello everyone
I'm new to BYC and I have some vital questions about candling and hatching Guinea Eggs.
My guineas are laying in a community nest and I have a pile of eggs nobody is sitting on. So I grabbed 18 eggs from the pile and started candling. All 18 eggs are totally clear with the exception of 2 eggs that have a reddish tint around the inside egg surface but the inside is totally clear too. I do not see any veins though. O.K. Here's my questions: does it take time for something to grow or is there supposed to be something there right away after the egg is laid? Are the eggs with the redish around the inside shell any good? When I check the eggs do I mark them and put them back in the nest if they are not any good for incubating or eat them? How do I know if the egg is good to eat without poisoning my family?
