I wish I could but my pens are not completely covered. And frankly if a breed can't handle MD's heat then they won't stick around. I don't want to baby a breed because they can't handle it. I know the barthuhners are a heavy bodied breed and I won't torture them with our heat if they can't handle it. That's just cruel. I hope they can though.

That guy I mentioned on eBay? Is now accusing me of cheating him out of the $10 auction for BCM. $8 of that was shipping. He opened a case, which I have NEVER had happen. I am so POed. This is what I wrote back to him, although I wrote a follow up mentioning I should have reworded it.
In my follow up I mentioned that I Gould have said NOT any shade of brown, but BCM range from a 4-9.

Not worth the hassle to try to defend yourself. Tell Paypal if he is unhappy about his purchase, that you will refund his money if he returns the eggs to you in the same condition that he received them in. If he doesn't know how to repack them and they reach you broken, open up a case against him. If I were going to sell eggs on Ebay, I think I would take a picture of the eggs before and after packing with the buyer's shipping info in it in case someone wants to dispute what was sent. Also be sure to mention that your eggs are what was in the auction and even if they were a different variety of Marans (i.e. Cuckoo) that he couldn't possibly know that until AFTER they hatched in 21 days after he received them, so he is disputing it just to get his eggs for nothing.
Yep, I am pretty frustrated with Ebay too. Someone fronm Turkey bought my $60 egg auction when the ad clearly states Cont. US only. It was their first time bidding and never paid. I put in a claim to Ebay not to be paid from customer but so I would not be charged the commission. I did not hear back, but they did send an invoice for $5+ for the commission even tho the items was never paid for. I disputed, and they $ was automatically taken from my PP account. I am soooo annoyed. I am sticking to BYC. EBay is too expensive and frustrating.Ggrrrrrr! I got my first bad feedback on eBay.

He took 5 days to pay, in which I messaged him twice. Once as a thanks for buying, if you pay before Saturday, I will get these shipped on Saturday to get to you ASAP . Then a message on Saturday saying. I won't be able to ship until Monday, and if I haven't heard back, I may assume that you have changed your mind about buying these eggs, please at least contact me. (Auction had ended Tuesday morning) he then promptly wrote back saying "I haven't paid becuase I don't want you to ship now so it takes another day to get to me. I had every intention of paying today, so you couldn't ship on a bad day."
And paid. Ok. Annoying, but whatever. So I ship the eggs Monday, sending two extras.
He writes me Friday, saying all eggs made it... But they are not black copper maran eggs. They are cuckoo Marans. He then leaves negative feedback saying wrong color.I want to smack him. First of all, the eggs I sent are definitely at least a 5 on the Marans scale, so that's ok (trust me, I wish they where darker too lol). And there is no way to tell me that I am sending cuckoo Marans.
Oh, and the auction sold for just over $10 for 6 eggs
