Oh great, my favorite hen is the one with egg on her face. Not the one that I suspected. Although, pear is an EE with a big beard and the other, Ruby, is a RIR that is clean faced (no fluff to catch the evidence). Pearl is busted yellow beaked. I don't think I can process her...

Any chicken will eat an egg once its busted. What you need to do is make it so they can't break them - that will stop them from eating them. Also, putting something in the nest that looks like an egg but doesn't break will not reward the one that pecks on them (although ALL hens will peck at the egg they just laid - to make sure it is tough enough). The one you want to re-train is the one that goes into the nest and pecks on somebody else's egg.

back home and both goslings were very anxious to get out of that box. They jumped/climbed up the side. Sooo tired and have too much to do to be ready for tomorrow.
