Had to skip a few pages this morning.

So had a lovely phone call from a buyer this morning. They had bought goslings, we shipped, the USPS lost the box and the birds arrived dead. Filed a claim, the buyers post master cant off their rear to do their job and kept insisting I had to fax her paperwork. UUMM NO I filed online with USPS. All the post master had to do was varify the dead birds and box they shipped in. So the buyer is upset asking why I wont ship replacements. UUMM we dont ship free birds. They keep repeating but I paid for birds, yes you did, and the PO killed them in transit. When I explain AGAIN that the PO has to pay the claim before we will issue a refund or replacements I get this. "Well if it goes badly I will be issuing feedback on you" I ask where they think they will be doing that? "BYC". So the buyer thinks threatening me this morning that if I dont send new birds no matter what the USPS does or they will give me negative feed back here on BYC is a way to get me to want to continue to work with them. First..........they bought from our farms website through email, not on here. Second stating anything other than we shipped them the three birds they paid for and filed a claim with the USPS when they failed to deliver them on time would be slander and I am now mad as an old wet hen.

Its sad the crap RBA lets go on, but this kind of crap goes both ways and happens even in direct sales.

Word to the wise.........when a private breeder is ACTUALLY working with you, dont threaten them if the case with the USPS doesnt go your way as buyer.
Wow, some people. I don't believe BYC will allow that kind of feedback on here especially since the transaction didn't happen here.

what color are you looking for? there's a bunch. my faves so far are the spangled and mottled
I love the spangled, both wheatens, anything blue especially lemon, and crele. (Roos are so pretty on the crele; hens are plain, but...) The duckwings are gorgeous also. I have eggs coming from RedBrush Farms and Gable, but breeders would be wonderful.

Madam I know they wont either. Its sad that people think they can make threats like that. I just called the buyer back and said we wont be shipping new goslings to them even if the PO pays the claim, we will refund (minus shipping and fees) and for them to never contact us again

Good for you!

I will keep an eye out for some good pairs...I have a guy that works the auction that raises and shows birds, I won't buy anything unless he says they are good....What are you willing to pay? The most I have paid was 50 a pair...some for 25.00 (the mottleds)
By all means, keep an eye out for a pair for me too.

.................We have 4-5 gunnea eggs a day.............I am not setting them................if anyone wants them PLEASE let me know. I am willing side swap them out and always looking for yummies, or PP works too and they are prices CHEAP. Otherwise I will leave them sit and collect every three days and feed them to the dogs lol

Think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts!

And a little whiskey in your morning coffee can help too!
