I was just talking about that with my DH. I was four/five when the Flood happened. I vaguely remember going to see the flood on State Street with my parents. I didn't understand why it was a big deal, I just remember my dad moving sand bags and I kept wondering why they needed to do that to a river. DH is ten years older than me so he remembers it a lot better than I do.

And that dear girl just made me feel really old. It was cottonwood canyon that was it so hard. It was a really bad year. Wow state street flooded just seems so weird. Do they still cruise it? Salt Lake was always such a pretty place. You have everything there. Desert, mountains, salty water, and salt flats. Best watermelon in this world comes out of green river Utah.

They made a law against cruising State some time after I left the state. I came home for a visit and wanted to cruise State with my sister for old times sake, lol. I moved around the world and the Utah desert called me home (my first child was born in Japan). I love this state's wilderness.

What are guinea cookies?  I thought it was something to feed to the guineas, but those look to good to give to the birds.
