Hee! I need to clip mine back more, too -- last week was my first time ever trimming cochin butts, and I think I was too cautious. Or at least the last round of eggs I set, the fertility still looks to be abysmal.

When you think you have enough of the fluff cut off , keep going and take off that much again, if your going to clip them dont be affraid of ruining them they are breeders get your pics before you clip. LOL

All I can say is thank goodness I have some folks hatching for me so I will have chicks! I hope and pray all our hatching issues go away soon folks!!!

MUST BE TRUE ,,THEY ARE FARMERS.....

...SAME HERE.. I have had on good hatch since Feb.....That hatch was great..with recommended humidity..Since then ..I have increased,,,and it appears I have more issues with the shrink wrapped.Got to be some truth to it,,,,Stumped in ALASKA,,,,

People are hoping to get chicks from other people because they are having poor hatch rates. But everyone is having the same problems everywhere.

Surprised to know but farmers of the old days used the astronomy and science to predict such things.
