That's how I pack mine too. I only write Fragile all over the box, and I send them in the SMALLEST box I can fit them in. I think it is easier, cheaper, and less likely to get smashed up than the big boxes. JMO, but it seems to work.

I have decided that given a choice, I will only be shipping on Tues and Wed from now on. Monday shipments or those caught at the PO over the weekend seem to get misdirected and abused the most. My PO lady agrees with me. She said the PO is so bogged down on Mondays because companies are shipping all their weekend orders and such. By Tuesday, things are mostly cleaned up and not so frantic.

I agree with not shipping on Mondays but respectfully disagree about weekend shipping. I ship Tuesdays and Saturdays (if I must, I'll ship on Wednesdays). I have the fastest delivery with packages shipped on Saturdays. I shipped 3 on Sat and all are out for delivery right now. Shipping during the week is 3-5 days to the same places. The only place I've shipped on a Saturday and not had the package there on Monday is Arkansas (2 states away). Usually people get pretty good hatches from my eggs.

They don't sit in a PO over the weekend. Mail is constantly moving, 24/7. My dad drives a mail truck and delivers mail to the different local state PO/sort stations. Even when the PO is closed, mail is moving.
