Yes, I am fortunate that most of my eggs are Serama or bantam sized. I think if I did all LF it wouldn't work as well all the time. When I don't have shredded paper I use a full sheet of bubble wrap for each egg. Someday hopefully I will be able to afford the foam mailers.
fake foam mailers: Pipe covering from Home depot. Works the same way, but I personaly like bubble wrap and shredded paper better. I used a few of the pipe things however before i got a lot of bubble wrap.

I am sorry to bring the barer of bad news but Nsampsel (Nan) just found out today that she is permantely suspended from BYC because of certain people on here who know who they are on the chains. She ask that if you need/want to get a hold of her to send her an email. If you need her email address please Pm me as I talk to her everyday. Also if you are owed anything or owe here anything you will get your swaps. If you have any questions please pm me on how to get a hold of her.

I would like to swap but my birds are being really lazy and are molting. Hopefully soon, I will have eggs to swap.

I did put my Cream Legbars, Crele project Orpingtons, and the Golden Laced Orpingtons in separate breeding pens today so I am hopeful. I also added some really pretty Birchen project Orpington pullets to the breeding pen. Did any of the Birchen project eggs hatch that I sent in the Spring?

I had one hatch but I think I lost it. I need to go through all my young birds and figure out what and how many I have. Oh, GLO, I bet they are beautiful.

Okay, guys, and please tell me gently if I am asking way too much......

I see offerings that 'look' promising but if they are just the same chicks I can get for 85cents at the feed store than I am not inclined to go to the trouble and incubator space, etc. And, I know this is not for "show" quality stock parents per se as many of the really fun breeds and varieties are not APA anyway. But, like my Ancona ducks and bantam Barnevelders, there is still an ideal to aim for and defines what one would cull from their own program -- assuming they had enough breeding stock to actually be selective. I would like to ask, please note I don't by any means mean demand or require, etc., that if your offering is of high-end type breeder eggs that you be upfront and let us know. It would definitely make me more inclined to jump in try maybe hatch something that I don't have now. If the breeder stock is production or hatchery bred there is nothing wrong with saying so because to someone that might just be the ticket! I just personally prefer exhibition and extreme style in type =:~) Please don't hang me on the cyber noose, I am really just a kitten at all of this.... Thanks.
