Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

Sorry, I only send as a gift if it's someone I know personally and I'm 100% sure I won't have to dispute. I send a lot of paypals on this chain and I've already had to dispute three paypals that have been claimed by someone not holding up their end of the swaps (I have approval to do this). Who knows if paypal will rule in my favor but I know there would be no chance if I had sent as a gift. If you don't like the fee don't claim the pp. Or use the money to purchase things from your pp account, then you won't be charged any fee.

I do too, I just thought it seemed fair for that person to get the total amt.
It's still more than the shipping actually costs isn't it? Isn't fair for someone claiming eggs not to have all 6 hatch but they rarely do and we don't as swappers to send extra.

I was just asking to get the general idea of what people do. I knew there was a discussion on it at some point, but it was apparently a bazillion pages ago and I couldn't find it. It wasn't meant to get people up in arms about it. I for one have sent all mine as gifts and have been particularly lucky.

I can easily send $15.62 if it's that big of a deal, since that's about what the fee amounts to. A couple times I've just sent $16 even when I only offered $15 just because it's not that big of a deal to me what the actual amount is, I'm still getting a great swap. I'm happy to add the $.62, but for me its the principle of it. It's not my fault that the receiver incurs a fee when they withdraw the money. They can just as easily leave it in their pp account and the fee is not an issue. At least this has been my experience with pp. If people are incurring fees upon receipt of the money, they always have the option of not claiming the pp.

That is why I said COULD.

People get REAL gifts in the real world and the swaps could tip them over the edge.

Nvm, forget I asked a question. I thought that was this thread was for. It wasn't directed at anyone or anything, just a simple question because I couldn't find where it was originally discussed. Hope everyone has a great night.

I'm just stating my opinion. The rules could change to require pp be sent as a gift or for the sender to cover the fee. Currently that is not the rule so it is up to the individual. I personally will not send as a gift unless required to by the rule. I'll state it here so in future people can be fully informed before accepting my paypals. No offense intended to anyone, it's just how I choose to do things given the choice.
