DH will be working at the farm the next two weeks planting wheat. I usually go with him and hang out with MIL.
Michelle (reesepoultry) can act in my place and make executive decisions if I cannot be reached. Please no fighting and respect her decisions as you do mine.
I want to thank you all for your participation in this swap, it is so much fun. I can't wait until Spring.
Just a reminder if you have any eggs that have not been sent yet, please notify the person getting the eggs and me also.
If your eggs are not getting out in 2 weeks you might want to consider offering alternate eggs or paypal to the person waiting. If they are ok waiting for the eggs let me know that as well. This is no counting Spring Swaps.
Those owning Spring swaps if you haven't done so yet can you please compile a list of people you owe eggs too in the order they will be sent in the Spring. Please send me a copy of your list for my records.
Also I know there maybe someone who can't deliver Spring eggs for whatever reason. Can I get volunteers to offer eggs in case they are needed.
I will start the Spring Egg disaster fund (does anyone want to volunteer to run this)

I'll volunteer to run the disaster fund. I'm assuming it entails keeping a list of people who volunteer to cover unfulfilled swaps and keeping track of those if & when they are needed?

Proposed rules for the donated eggs to the disaster fund.
1. Donations can not be made by swappers who have unfulfilled swaps. (Donors need to meet their own obligations first.)
2. Donors will be asked to fill at most one swap per week, and donors will be rotated so that no donor will be asked to cover more swaps than other donors.
3. Donation Fund Administrator will make every effort to match donated eggs with unfulfilled eggs, but there is no guarantee of perfect matches.
4. A swapper can not ask for donated eggs from this fund to cover owed eggs and remain in good standing; a swapper is suspended from swapping until he/she pays back the owed eggs -either to the fund or to the donors.
5. Donors accept that they will not be compensated for their donations.
6. Swappers accept that the existence of this fund does not guarantee that they will receive what they are owed.

Would it be ok to set guidlines for exactly what timeframes constitute "Spring" for our spring swaps? The official last day of spring is 6/20/2013. This is a really long time to wait for swaps occuring now.

I think this is why CPL is asking swappers who owe Spring eggs to provide her with their lists of swaps and when they expect to send their eggs.

I know with the people that owe me spring eggs, we discussed the first part of the year, but also taking into consideration birds that may not be laying yet... I'm flexible because to me, asking for something in advance like that comes with some uncertainty...
