Does anyone know what these funny things are outside of the egg, rough in texture?

Excess calcification.. possibly genetic if diet is not over saturated (with calcium or D3).. maybe a reproductive (shell gland) glitch.. Certainly not *ideal* for hatching. (described in #6 of first link, but best seen in similar fashion to yours on the later links)

How do you think this will affect incubation success?

Since those kinds of deposits are often indicative of a shell anomaly, I'd be concerned about moisture loss from the egg during incubation. I've accidentally knocked a couple of those bumps off while handling eggs and found that there was a hole in the shell under them, so I would expect that it would behave much like a crack in the egg and allow more moisture to escape than a "normal" shell would.

If the bumps are intact, they ultimately may not pose a problem, but they could potentially come off while being turned and handled. If you've set the egg already, let us know how incubation goes. Best of luck!
